In sociological context Deviance and societal tolerance are the behaviors or actions that violate commonly accepted social norms. Deviant behaviors are the one that become unacceptable for the society. A vast majority of the society provides warrants against the disapproval of such activities. For example stealing, public nudity, alcoholism and prostitution are considered as some major deviant behaviors. People who involve in such actions are known as deviants. Deviant behaviors are also known as taboos.

Members of society are routinely guided by the standards and desires. The disappointment of these standards is reputed to be aberrance. ...
