Abu A'la Maududi

Abstract

Abu A'la Maududi was the main scholar and a basis of the teachings of the Islam were given by him in many articles and newspapers. He faced critiques as well as appreciation in his work and his teachings are highlighted in contrast with the fact that he left an impact on the followers of Islam. Introduction

Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi was a Pakistani Islamic reformer and a thinker and also a politician with a combination of philosopher. He was a Sunni Pakistani and he belonged to a Jamaat party and he was als a Maulana and he was influenced by the Egyptian and also influenced by the al-Banna's successor.

One of the major contributions to the extremism of Islam was the Xenophobia systematization for the revolt that happened against Muslim nations that was based on the concept of darkness and believed that Islamic worship was the main goal of preparing Muslims for Jihad, These steps were taken in order to bring the rule of God in a Muslim nation.

The journal was used as a platform in order to spread his different ideas related to Islam. The journal was made by Maddudi. Indian National Congress got the opinion of opposing both the all-India nationalism. He also urged the Muslims of India to embrace and accept Islam as their own sole purpose and to become proper and enhanced Muslims. In the Muslims and the Present Day Political Struggle the views of Madudi were published in three of the volumes.

In his views for Pakistan his interest changed from Islamic state to the achievement of the right democracy and he was arrested in 1964 during the time period of Ayub Khan. In the elections of the president he supported Fatima Jinnah instead of Ayub khan. He also joined some political parties and in the year of 1970 against the social facts of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.

Madudi presented some ideological goals which are as follows:

To see the mental outlook of humans in a nation and to implement the Islamic attitude in the life of a person in such a way that the way of thinking and acting of a person is in the light of Islam.

To appreciate and support people who have embraced Islam truly in their lives and have molded their life in a pattern of Islam doing the acts of Islam. Also to support people who have fought with power by providing them all the means and the equipment available

To establish the Islamic state with all the Islamic rules and to highlight the various aspects of the life on that basis and to increase the scope of Islam all over and to give training to people about how to accept and moralize Islam in their life.

The different views of Jihad have been presented by him in several of the books. He had different brilliant and other violent views related to Jihad. (Smith, 2010)
