Abstract

The purpose of the research paper was aimed to discuss the oral care practices of nurses in ICUs with the existing practices which are evidence based. The purpose also focuses to investigate that whether the evidence based practices were associated with the personal demographic and professional characterisitics. The desing of the research paper was based on the survey on the 218 ICU practicing nurses in the year of 2004-05. The major distinguished features available on the survey mainly included the questions about the personal and professional characteristics and, also checklist of the oral care practices.
