CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
Introduction
The term primary education and also referred to as elementary education helps in fulfilling the special and educational needs during the initial years of the schooling life. The studies have mentioned that primary education has their own particular goals which are also an important component of the overall education system (Nikolov, 2009, pp 279)
Many empirical studies have identified that primary education is also considered to be one of the important initial stages in all levels of education. The primary education of any child is usually preceded by nursery education and finally it is followed by secondary education (Nguyen & Nguyen, 2007, pp 165). The studies have mentioned that in the region of United States and United Kingdom, the stage of primary education is also referred to as the elementary education and is also followed by middle school. In many nations all across the globe, it is important for every child to get primary education. The primary objective of primary education is to attain and achieve the highest numeracy. With the help of primary education, many educational institutes are able to develop and provide a strong foundation in various subjects such as science, mathematics and history. The studies (Nguyen, 2012, pp 124) have mentioned primary education is considered to be an important step in the educational life of people and students. It paves the foundation of knowledge that profoundly impacts on the future success in the life of an individual
Over the years many empirical studies have been conducted which have mentioned that significance and importance of learning English cannot be ignored in the interconnected and the globalized world. The studies have also mentioned that there are millions of people who travel to many foreign nations every year and learn to communicate in English and finally succeed in the mainstream world. The studies have also mentioned that in many global nations, teaching of English language is changing rapidly and also in Vietnam (Nguyen & Nguyen, 2007, pp 162). The studies have mentioned that while teaching English and any other foreign language the educational institutes and the instructors should also motivate the students and should introduce appropriate curriculum so that hurdles are reduced (Nikolov, 2009, pp 7)
The studies have identified that teaching of English language has not been as satisfactory as other subjects. The studies have stated that the standard of English language has been improved due to the foreign financial assistance from various kinds of organizations. Even though many organizations have provided financial aid, but the standard and quality of English language has not yet been improved. Therefore many researchers have suggested various kinds of ...
