In this paper the roots which have influenced and become the most leading factors for nineteenth century in the development of modern psychology. Philosophers That Historically Relate to the Beginnings of Psychology
Hermann Ebbinghaus said “Psychology has a long past, yet its real history is very short” (Ebbinghaus, 1908/1908, p. 3). In his psychology book he has written in the begging of it. He also stated that psychologists have faced many problems in history, also the part which philosophy played in the last century. There are some philosophical roots present in psychology.
In seventeenth century the arrival of methodology and modern scientific inquiry has altered culture of Europe like broaden the practices of technology and comprehension of philosophy during the explanation in eighteenth century. Whereas, in nineteenth century the field of science was considered the growing and legitimate profession the society, physical, and biology developed into the scrutiny in scientific manner.
During this period of time modern psychology formed more discipline. In United States after 1870, students of colleges could become well informed about new psychology. At University of Harvard the professor named as William James, was introduced the mind theories and also established the empirical findings with some instrument of brass. In 1890 the James also wrote the principles of psychology.
