The correlation between knowledge and motivation of employees and the success of a company is straightforward. Well-trained employees and encouraging them to learn more and more will be the engine of innovation that can take the organization ahead of the competition. A stimulated team works harder in order to be more faithful to the company. Because of this, the organization should always seek personal and professional development of its employees. In order to effectively deal with the staff development issues, companies undertake a series of efforts to retain the best quality people and enhance staff development issues management. This enables companies to use internal placement of employees on the key positions of the company. This case explores the fundamentals of staff development and factors that influence the staff development in The Modern Group. Primary research methods technique was adopted to assess the impact of staff development policy in guiding the staff development process in the organization.
Researchers and theorists have identified two types of the training program that enhances the effectiveness of employee development program in the organization. Past learning experience of the organization and position with respect to the learning curve defines the appropriateness of each of the staff development approach for the employees (Poell et al., 2000). Wide range of factors influences the staff development process. Employee learning experience is dependent on employees' capability to absorb the content from the appropriate environment. Knowing the strengths and limits of the employees, it is necessary to explore what motivates employees to help them reach their full potential. Main objective of the case is to analyze the goal of a program of staff development. Data collection technique adopted in the research help examining the development of staff related to incentives and recognition. This involves assessing the factors that can complicate the staff development requirements; requirements that must meet the specification of the objectives of the staff development (Wenger, 1998).
According to the principles of cognitive learning, aspects of the human being developed that must be analyzed when designing programs for staff development have also been analyzed in the case. Vocational guidance, assessment of fit between the individual and the work environment, and development group help to formulate strategies to clarify the areas of career interest to assess the fit between the individual and the culture of the organization (Colley, 2003). This requires evaluating the support for staff based on their motivations to ensure that all of them have aforementioned objectives.
Research Process
In order to address the qualitative fundamental elements of the study, basic research design has been selected to explore the concepts related to staff development. Quantitative research expressed their goals as descriptions and relationships between variables as a feature refer to complex events that try to be described completely. Therefore, there is an abstraction of properties of variables for analysis by appropriate exploratory techniques based on cognitive ...
