Friedman has taken a very realistic approach when defining the world as flat taking into consideration the impact of latest technologies on communication and other global channels.

The presence of flat world lets the students to carry out job hunt on global level thus eliminating the geographical constraints. Moreover, internet and other technologies can also speed up the process and students can find a appropriate job quickly.

Students must be capable to handle all the latest developments in the field of information technologies so that they can exploit it for their advantages.

This is hard.  I would have to say the proliferation of online classes that are available.  There are groups, websites and discussion boards where one can go to learn about just about anything. I would have liked to have heard him mention the digital divide and offer suggestions on how we can help to bridge the divide.  This would definitely be a flattener should everyone around the world have access to ICT.
