This research paper exclaims about the workplace violence and the consequences of that violence on the image and the existing employees of the organization. This paper particularly talks about the workplace violence case of Xerox, and the background connected to the particular incident. Major prevention methods have also been recommended, which can be implemented to control the workplace violence's at Xerox and protects the employees from violent incidents. Advantages and disadvantages of recommendation are evaluated in order to seek the effectiveness of the recommended program. Implantation of particular recommendation is also discussed.

The fact is that no workplace is safe. Richard Thoman, president and chief executive officer of Xerox, does not believe that Xerox could have done anything at all to prevent or stop the violence, which killed seven of its workers in Honolulu, in spite of its well-framed policies designed to solve workers problems. Some organizations that feel this is not really a matter of concern, should be aware of the fact that as per the (Workplace Violence Research institute reports, 1995), losses amounting to approximately $34.5 billion were incurred in the United States alone because of workplace violence.
