Abstract
Even in this global world where men and women work side by side to support the family, the banking industry in UK still are still underrepresented in the financial institutions and banking sector. Banking is a very demanding job. Both men and women need to give full time to this career if they opt for it. Managing the work life balance is very important for men and women both. Men can balance their work and life as they don't have to share much of the household responsibility but for women it's a challenge and in this report the researching will examine the problems which women face in managing the work life balance. Both career and family needs to properly taken care of. In this research the researcher will find out how the females bankers and in financial institutions balance their lives. It has been found by the previous research that when a woman gets married her chances of moving on the top of her career reduces many folds. It is because she must take care of the family too. The career in banking sector requires high level of commitment which the women are unable to give. Bankers are required to do regular late sittings which the women can't do. She must sacrifice either her career or her family and both have equal importance for her. Banking is a full time career and women can't opt to do it for part time. If the female banker marries a male banking then it can have a positive impact on her career as her better half will be aware of job requirement and may help her balance her life too.
