I could not facilitate but be adjoined by this tale - my own mother and aunts also immigrated alone to the new world from their own village in the Abruzzi e Molise area of Italia for the same causes and exclusively, like Irma. I became entirely absorbed in this believable narrative of miserable Irma, ascertaining parallels with the tales my congenators iterated to me of their own terrible experiences. Every particulars of this novel experienced reliable - from life of a small town in Italy, to the battles with ascertaining work, to being betrayed, and finding a companion or two, by the way, to assist.
It is an animating story of force, purpose, and bravery, compensating homage to the several adult females who courageously confronted the anguish of loss of hearth and family to abrade out a fresh life in a country brimming with desire. Bright contingent, sincere emotion, and extremely developed roles make this novel stand out, bestowing credibility and intensity. I enjoyed this novel, and it is most emphatically one of my all-time preferred books of all time. I extremely recommend it!
