Introduction

God created the earth “to be inhabited” (Isaiah 45:18, NIV). There are various biblical facts to prove the importance of nature and need to keep it safe and protected. Like all the other gifts of God nature is also one of his most precious gifts. It is duty of all of us who live in this world to save it because if we destroy it, there will be no place to go. Environment protection has always been the main concern for the ecologists, sociologists and various other scientists all over the world. Everyone is concerning about the protection of nature and environment because the advancements and ne technology has damaged the earth to the greater extent and now it is very important to take measures against the factors that are dangerous for the environment.

This is never considered as the duty of religion to concern about the nature or environment the new thoughts of Christianity and environment preservation has provided the new dimension of thought and new reason to consider the importance of saving our environment. This the most prominent issue of combining the concept of Christianity with the environment protection. The main question arise here is why as a Christian it is our duty to preserve nature and what are the steps and actions as a Christian can be taken by us to protect our nature.

One misconception about the Christianity is due to the less knowledge and poor understanding of the religion in which the only basic concept is to serve God and Holy Son; there is no concept of worldly concerns in the religion. This concept is now needed for the reconsideration. All the holy people are always involved in the service of mankind so there is no point in staying away from the world. God has sent us all in this world for a purpose and we have to fulfill it. It is our own mistake if we do not understand it, and harm other people and this world. This is why there is need to understand the basic concept and relation between the nature and Christianity.
