Ichase the intersection between timbral and tonal expression. Tonal sign is deeply embedded while timbral sign brings new possibilities for exploration. Timbral melodies needs new procedures of composition to shatter free of the dictates of western melodies notation. Sampling provides an avenue for utilising tonal melodies within other structures. Iuse my own graphical notation scheme, the tallies are then performed programmatically utilising samples as the source. This presents for seamless intermixing of tune and timbre and the interplay between the two.
