Uses & Abuses of Power in Hamlet, Beowulf, & Gilgamesh

The gaining and manipulation of power is an important issue in many literary works of Britain. This paper explores, Hamlet, Beowulf & Gilgamesh as examples to explore uses and abuses of power. We proceed with Hamlet where Claudius has murdered King Hamlet in order to take his place on the throne. When this occurs, and the spread of evil across Denmark begins, we see much manipulation of the right to power happening everywhere.
