President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal initiatives
Attempting to salvage the American economy and American spirit during the Great Depression of the 1930's, President Franklin D. Roosevelt initiated several programs that strove to “relief, reform, and recover” through the New Deal. The first one hundred days of the New Deal represented a significant shift in political and domestic policy. In Roosevelt's second term, he produced three major acts in Congress known the Second New Deal. Both the New Deal and the Second New Deal had accomplishments that aided the United States' economy.
