Introduction

Imagine you are building a new house using only the poor quality building materials. If you really have talent, you can put extra efforts on the poor quality material building material on your house so that it looks nice from the outside. However, its internal structure will not be strong at all. This is the same thing with your body. You may look healthy from outside, but if you continue with this routine by eating unhealthy foods, it will be harmful to the long run that is your body won't be able to accept the stress as the ability of acceptance is reduce when you eat unhealthy foods, the fact is unhealthy food makes you lazy and after consuming fast food (unhealthy food) your body do not get those nutrients and proteins that are required by the body to be energetic.

The utilization of unhealthy foods by children has increased in the recent past. The reason to this mainly is the fact that marketing and advertisements of such unhealthy food items has also increased in the recent past. This has contributed to obesity in children, which has also led to the development of many diseases in children, in the long run. Therefore, it can be said that marketing of unhealthy foods to children is the cause of obesity and development of diseases in children.

Thesis Statement

Marketing of unhealthy foods to children is the cause of obesity and development of diseases in children which can be stopped by imposing legal ban on the advertisement and reducing consumption of unhealthy food by the parents.

Background of the Problem

There is a growing concern related to the relationship between the marketing of unhealthy food and soft drinks to children and widespread obesity. This is not surprising: many foods and drinks that are produced for children sector are considered unhealthy with high fats, high sugar level and low in nutrients. There is substantial evidence that marketing's influence in shaping children's food preferences. The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2011 has concluded there is probable evidence to the relationship between intensive marketing of fast food (fast food) and products with high energy, and the risk of obesity in children.

Children are attracted more towards the junk and unhealthy foods due to the famous cartoon that are printed don the boxes. According to many researchers that cartoons appearing on food boxes may also determine whether children will bother their mothers to buy food also the level of irritating parents are likely to experience. Moreover, the children who watched more television commercials were more likely to nag for foods that included cartoons on the packaging, even if they didn't like the food.
