Education has certainly changed over the years. Some things were unacceptable as educated behavior. Some things were unacceptable as educated behavior; for instance, an educational institution was once a sanctuary for people to access, however in today's modern world, limits have been defined with respect to admissions that have been undertaken accordingly. It would be unheard of to allow corporations to come in to influence some of the curriculum. These educational institutions and schooling facilities were free of corporate intervention as a primary source of revenue. Today, corporations are present in education, and they will remain as long as schools are under- financed. Corporations are creative in their methods to relay their company messages for long and short term customer building. Corporations' presence in schools is not due to their kind heart. (Dubois, 2006, 110-116).

Corporations are solely motivated in building the customer base to assure profits. This is allowed in schools because they are left few alternatives in getting funding elsewhere. Further, since education is less important to the public, then having corporations come in to use the schools as a financial opportunity is easier than ever. Schools' motivation is more about keeping their doors open. Those school doors could be assured open with the aid of corporate sponsors whose return could be guaranteed as long as their presence remains in the schools.

Unfortunately, corporations know that education, or intelligence is not paramount to overall, American society. Many shows on television that are, again sponsored by corporations often have themes of unintelligence leading to prosperity. Unless schools relay information in a bias free and uninfluenced by corporate sponsors' manner, making intelligence the key to a school's success, then we will see more acceptance of dumb behavior in society as a whole.
