Many new technologies have been emerging from time to time. These innovative and contemporary technologies have emerged in different fields and have made the processes much easier. New technologies present progressive developments in their respective fields. During the last few years, there has been a massive increase in the invention of such technologies which have made our lives easier and interactive. These new technologies are invented by the companies and they introduce it to certain experts then they are introduced to media. The media people then project its reviews for the people. Gradually, a few people start adopting that new technology and after using it they refer it to friends and family. Slowly that new technology is spread among the rest of the people and is adopted by them (Biressi, 2005, pp 71).
However, there are a few people or groups who at first are against these new technologies, they don't like to change their living style and standard which is why they refuse to adopt new technologies. Yet when that technology has been spread worldwide they slowly give in and also adopt that technology. People are not comfortable to new things. They are always hesitant to adopt innovative and latest technologies. However there are few people who are always willing to try or adopt new things and they become the opinion leaders who influence others to give these new technologies and creations a try. When slowly people try these things, they get used to them and they become a part of their daily lives. After adopting those technologies, they become so attached to them that cannot function properly without using them. For example, the people who have adopted the use of cell phones now cannot imagine not using them. As they interact with their friends, family and colleagues through it, surf the internet, listen to music and send emails through it. Cell phones have become a part of their lives (Tanger, 2007, pp 217).
