Abstract

The paper seeks to highlight the multiple factors that are playing their part in determining the political and administrative structure of UAE, with special focus on the issue of multi-ethnicity. It should be taken into account that UAE has highly diverse population with individuals from various parts of the world pouring in from time to time and adding to the multi cultural element of the area. With the addition in diversity of the population, the issues and problems also continue to increase as different ethnicities and cultural groups have their own distinct approach towards social issues and they seek to deal with all the social and political problems accordingly. Thus, a number of alternations have to be made in the political and administrative structure of the society in order to make sure they are sufficient enough to encompass whole of the society that would be highlighted in this paper.

Introduction

With the increase in opportunities and offers from around the world, the concept of immigration has increased to an unimaginable extent and a large number of individuals are now migrating to other countries in search of job opportunities and better living conditions. It should be taken into account that majority of the population is now moving to certain areas in which there is shortage of human resource, including UAE, which is emerging as leading world's new economic leader and thus provides better job opportunities and living conditions to individuals as compared to their native countries. The same situation has contributed to the development of multi ethnic and multi cultural population in UAE, which has its own positive and negative aspects.
