I will try to change the networking system of the NCF by making several changes by considering the benefits of twisted pair cable. The standard twisted pair cable is referenced by its acronym UTP (UNSHIELD Twisted Pair, Unshielded Twisted Pair) (B. Lord et al, 1996). The major advantages of the twisted pair cable include low cost and ease of handling. Its major disadvantages include higher error rate compared to the other types of cable and their limitations to work from very large distances without regeneration. The copper pair cable is an unshielded system and it has become the most widely used cabling system for different local network technologies. The NCF should use the following twisted pair cable with the categories such as the EIA-568 standard in TSB-36 addendum three categories difference for such cables (B. Lord et al, 1996). Category 3: Bar frequencies up to 16 MHz
Category 4: Pets frequencies up to 20 MHz Category 5: Pets frequencies up to 100 MHz
The connection should be established in a way that the smaller diameter cables unshielded twisted pair can be used more efficiently in pipes and routing cabinets. The typical diameter of these wires is 0.52 mm.
Flexibility
The ability to bend and fold these cables allows a faster routing and connection of the rosettes and strips.
Installation
Due to the widespread dissemination of this type of cables, there are a variety of suppliers, installers and tools that decrease the installation and commissioning costs.
Integration: The services supported by this cable include:
Local Area Network ISO 8802.3 (Ethernet) and ISO 8802.5 (Token Ring)
Analog Phones
Digital Telephony
Synchronous Terminals
Asynchronous terminals
Control lines and alarms
Answer 2
There is a recommendation to connect all the client computers with twisted pair cable instead of wiring coax structure. It is very important to ensure that each pair is ...
