For that reason, the study of crime and delinquency raises concerns related to the sociology which is important and crucial to tackle as, if these are not taken into the consideration then there are probable chances that the people in the society get involved in different criminal activities.

There are various areas in social sciences from which crime can be defined; however, the precise knowledge of crime can be obtained from political/ legal institutions that entail law; therefore, criminal behaviors can be defined by criminal law.
Criminology is an inter-disciplinary field in the behavioral sciences which is particularly based on the studies of sociologists; therefore crime is relative, but criminologists do not realize its importance in related field.
Criminology says it is objective as it is based on legal and social definitions of crime, but there are certain limits which prevent the success of criminology that helps in attaining the predefined goals.
