Chapter 3: Methodology

3.1 Introduction

The research will be based on secondary data. Data were extracted from published articles and books. In the secondary research data will be drawn from various magazines, books and articles.

Qualitative research will be used for the proposed study. Qualitative research is more subjective, as opposed to quantitative research and use very different methods of collecting information which could be both primary and secondary. As already mentioned these studies are the chosen child. The theme of this research will be investigated along with the open-ended.

Such research is often less expensive than the contours and is very effective for the acquisition of information. It is often the method of choice in instances where quantitative measurement is not necessary. The selection criterion of the literature is relevant to the subject of research and publication year.

3.2 Research question

Q1. To find out the reason of less number induction of the African American in US navy?

Q2. To find out the selection process of US Navy?

Q3. To figure out the mindset of the African American about the US Navy?

3.3 Aim and objectives

The objective and reason of the study is to supply principle manufacturers and expert information of the latest publications on the styles of selections of the US Naval officials and the process structure present there. Paper also aims to find the history of African Americans in US Navy and their behaviors in US Navy.

3.4 Research Approach

To answer the above questions, approach of data collection is secondary research where the authentic resources are used in order to get the clear and accurate picture about the African Americans in US Navy and their behaviors and characteristics.

The search take on four online databases literature: Sage, Science Direct, Emerald (Social and managerial data bases) and Social Science Abstracts using the next keywords and blends thereof: the economics, mindset related to recruitment in Navy, Business arrangements, emotional and behavioral adversities, US Navy, psychology, Recruitment, US Military,

3.5 Collection Approach Procedures (Data to Be Collected)

The following criteria were used to search databases, magazines and websites. Research should be: * Published in English between 2005 and 2010; * The public method reconsiders model, meta-analysis, consideration of other publications, research, assessment, randomized controlled trials, browse research assistance; * Focus on African Americans and the white Americans of any age; * Concerned about the emotional and mental association related to the US forces structures; * Concentrate on research or programs that take place at the level of US army and other forces like Navy and Military.

The review has been concerned with the problems of major study of Navy and other parts of the US. Diversity is all the different characteristics and attributes of individual Sailors and civilians which enhance the mission readiness of the Navy. The Navy harvests and represents the strength of the nation's diversity. The Navy's people are treated with dignity and respect and are encouraged to lead and feel empowered to reach their full potential.
