Historical Background

The history of tissue transplant is not established over certain years ago, but it is the result of centuries, after certain failure the success in tissue transplant can be establisehed. The origin of the first successful tissue transplantation was practiced in the first half of the twentieth century. The first allograft of corneal was successfully done in a year of 1837 in a gazelle model, this corneal transplant operation was successfully done by Eduard Zirm at clinic of Olomouc clininc. It has been now widely practicing to transplant the human tissues. We can see that tissues transplantations are globally in practice.

The purpose of tissues transplantation is not limited for improving lives, but it has been in practicing for cosmetic interventions. Because of high demand of human tissues the prevention for safety and security of human lives also demanded. If talking about tissue transplantation of any part of the body that can be implanted, excluding solid organs (kidney, pancreas, liver, heart and lung). The purpose transplantation is to replace the tissues for restoring their functions. Because of advancement in technology and with the help of researches we have crossed the main purpose of tissues transplantation, people doing it sometime for the sake of cosmetic and to fulfill their desires or requirement. Tissue transplantation is similar to all medical treatment, and we must have to select this activity only when it is necessary. Here, is certain obligation lies on the medical professionals to concentrate before recommending the transplantation decision to their clients. All transplants are referred to in this paragraph are referring to human tissues. Using animal tissue is quite rare and is practically limited, in some particular cases, transplantation of heart valves. With the help of donor tissue from a cadaver or a living donor there are numbers of transplants can be done.

These transplants are indicated in a wide variety of diseases or dysfunctions, although in some cases they do not compromise the life of the patients, which significantly reduced the quality. In the case of cord blood, peripheral blood and bone marrow, the unit searches through national and other international banks of tissues. A single donor can provide tissue for more than one receptor with different problems such as orthopedic reconstruction, burn reconstruction surgery, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, and some other issues.
