Introduction

I am applying for the Thunderbird MBA Financial Scholarship. I deem that my selected profession will allow me to accomplish my dreams, and helps in expanding my knowledge. My educational background evident that I am very much involve in extracurricular activities. I always anticipate making the most of my education and have striven for academic excellence. Furthermore, I have managed my basic educational expenses but now it become very difficult for me to afford my master expense. On the other hand, my educational grades also meet the criteria of eligibility for Thunderbird MBA Financial Scholarship.

Discussion

Since early days, the studies of management have grasped my interest profoundly. Having read many books on management, particularly marketing, finance, and human resource, my desire for knowledge has only exaggerated. Without doubt, my life purpose is to discern a greater understanding of the management concepts. In particular, I plan to better grasp the knowledge regarding leadership development, marketing mix, people and time management.

I would keen to experience the quality education at Thunderbird, as it is well-known for its high standard of graduates, facilities and lecturers. In addition, I desire to confront myself to grasp new things, particularly meeting new people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I desire to depict myself to more of the diverse community of the world. This would assist me in becoming an open-minded and more sociable person. Being a student of business management, there are a number of qualities that require to be sharpened prior to entering in the business world that is more competitive. A number of the qualities I anticipate to attain are qualities of leadership qualities, communication skills and interact with people, to speak with conviction and confidence, have a concern for people. I want to be set example for others, in achieving excellence and in developing character strength. Similarly, desire to learn from others, and having the studying in renowned university would permit me to learn from others who came from diverse backgrounds. I have always loved United States and studying provides me an excellent opportunity to experience this wonderful country, with its magnificent scenery, rich culture, and diverse society (Rogers, 2007: 69-180). It swanks the contemporary conveniences that come with advanced technology, as well as a friendly and warm people. The diversity of people in Thunderbird allows me to learn relationship building that helps me learning how to deal with diverse people, which is one of the basic needs of leadership/ management. Getting a scholarship at Thunderbird assists me in attaining my dreams, as well as helps in achieving educational and persona; excellence (Drucker & Drucker, 1999: 25-93)
