Career Goals

“Aim for the Moon, even if you fail, you will land among stars”

The world is changing at a rapid pace; the businesses environment is in a mode of radical transformation. With the increase in economic and inherent uncertainties, the hope of attaining long term objectives has faded (Hall and Chandler, 2005). That is the reason why I have focused on articulating action plans that will help me to achieve my short term career goals. My primary purpose of executing a Master's degree in business administration from a recognized international university is positively associated with the pursuance of my career objectives. One of the vital goals of my career is to hold a respectable managerial or administrative position in a Multi-national enterprise, specifically those operating in Saudi Arabia. Generally, where there is risk, there is a return. Although the world is going through economic crisis, still there are tons of opportunities for those having appropriate business knowledge (Greenhaus, 2000). Therefore, my secondary, career goal is to be capable enough to anticipate and exploit the business opportunities, even in a risky business environment.

Role of MBA in pursuing Career Goals

As discussed above, My MBA will be a primary source for attaining my career objectives. By the completion of MBA, I am expecting to develop the following skills, which ultimately will help me to pursue the career goals, discussed above:

Develop my skills that how issues and challenges can be resolved.

Develop team building abilities

Develop my social skills (interact with others, sharing ideas, encouraging others)

Develop proficient interactive skills

Since, my principal aim is to hold a managerial position in a Multi-national organizational. Therefore, exposure to the international environment will help me develop these skills and to become a perfect candidate for a Multi-national enterprise.

Reasons for Selecting Clark Atlanta University

The core reason for selecting Clark Atlanta University is to strengthen my academic profile that will aid me to pursue my career objectives i.e. to become a part of a Multi-national organization. Another reason for opting Clark Atlanta University's Business School is to expand the boundaries of knowledge by exploring and exploiting international environment and high standard curriculum offered at the University. That can happen only if I will get an opportunity to be a part of an internationally recognized University such as “Clark Atlanta University”. My anticipated area of concentration is “Marketing”. During my studies at Clark Atlanta University, I will get an opportunity to develop my skills through interaction with multi cultural colleagues and teachers. These interactions will motivate me to become a true and skillful market man. It can only happen when I get a chance to apply my learning in a factual context.

Personal Strengths and Areas Where Improvement is required
