Discuss the historical events that provided the foundation of slavery within the U.S.?

It is studied that the evolution of the slavery started in 1619. History of the United States is inseparable from that of black slavery in the South of The Union. It is important to know that the original African-Americans were the only immigrants who have not chosen to settle in the United States. The Americans were going to look to Africa for the sole purpose of enslaving them (Klein, 2005). The blacks around in 1619, in a Dutch frigate landed at Jamestown, Virginia. They were employed on plantations that grew in the colonies of South and Central to cultivate sugarcane, tobacco, rice, etc. They began a triangular trade based on trafficking of these slaves to America. Many colonies soon followed the example, the Carolinas whose constitution legally recognized slavery (Boles, 1987). Every freeman of Carolina shall have absolute power and authority over his slaves and Maryland. In the northern colonies, slaves were employed in domestic work and commerce.

Slave trade from ancient times involved people of different nationalities and faiths.The Arabs, Portuguese, British, Muslims and Christians - all engaged in this officially sanctioned fishing.. By the middle of the XVIII century to European slave traders were joined by their followers - the Yankees of New England.. Tradition does play an important role in keeping people in slavery. In the past and even today, it is observed that different tradition view people keeping in slavery as a sign of staus and prestige. In fact, we can say that slavery is the result of falsified tradition.Russians and Muslims tradition have countless examples of keeping people in slavery. Even in French tradition we see the tradition of slavery of breast feeding. Tradition is a part of the society and that is why I believe that slavery is a social phenomenon. Slavery is a social status defined by law and custom as the most absolutely involuntary human servitude.
