Psychotherapy involves many ethical issues such as patient confidentiality, sexual abuse, misuse of power over the patient, violation of ethical and moral boundaries, financial and psychopathological gratification and many more (Fennig, 2005). Research indicates that patients under psychotherapy are extremely vulnerable, and clear demarcation of boundaries in the relationship between the psychotherapist and the patient is essential. Ethical dilemma in psychotherapy may best be resolved by the psychologist.
