Thelonious Sphere Monk, American jazz pianist and composer, considered one of the giants of American music. Monk had a unique improvisational style and made a great contribution to the standard jazz repertoire, including Epistrophy,Round Midnight,Blue Monk,Straight, No Chaser and Well, you do not need. Monk is the second most frequently recorded by jazz composer Duke Ellington, especially, Ellington composed more than 1,000 songs, a monk wrote 70 years ago.
Often regarded as the founder of bebop, in Monk's later evolved from this style. His compositions and improvisations are full of harmony, dissonance and angular melodic phrases, and are consistent with the unconventional approach of Monk on piano, which combined with high-impact attack sudden, dramatic use of silence and doubt. Monk was a very special way. Visually, he was known for his unique style in suits, hats and sunglasses. He also noted that from time to time, while the other musicians in the band still playing, to stop by, pick up the keyboard and dances for several minutes before returning to play the piano. One of his regular dance consisted of a continuous rotation of the left, which has developed over the ring shout and stir, Sufi.
