ABSTRACT
In this study we try to explore the concept of organizational culture and motivation in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on UK companies and its relation with motivation. The researcher used mixed research and the following research questions were addressed. What is the organizational culture of UK companies? How UK companies can motivate its employee? How organizational cultures affect employees? The researcher will develop a structure questionnaire and reach to conclusion on the basis of questionnaire. Organizational climate has a potentially rich, but largely unrealized role in the development of an organization as well as to raise the motivation of employees. Researchers perceive problems arising from significant culture and different climate affecting the management and motivational level among the employees. The study examines the influence of organizational culture and climate on the motivation level among 100 adult employees working in Ranbaxy with the help of various questionnaires.

Background of the Study
A satisfied and motivated work force can undoubtedly help sustain productivity. Locke (1976) lists some individual characteristics of workers which can affect their level of motivation. They include demographic factors like: age, sex, education, position occupied and length of service. He added that job motivation plays an important role in employee commitment and in reducing employee absenteeism and boredom at work. Smith (1992) believed that motivation and high morale could lead to cost reduction by reducing absences, errors and turnovers which leads to greater productivity and economic and industrial growth which is a major drive of most organisations (Siu 2002 pp. 218-229).
Importance of the Study
