Edgar Allan Poe is one of main representatives of American romanticism. He is the writer and poet, who was misunderstood by United States, his native country yesterday and is appreciated by United States today. In his works of Poe writes the lot about beauty and its role in human life. Beauty has always fascinated him, and romantic beauty Poe only has the few elements of surprise in it. This moment of surprise gives the special aura of mysticism and unusual works of Poe. This aura does not leave reader of Poe's stories and poems all time. In addition to this mystery, there are some interesting peculiarities in works of this poet.

One is investigation concerned man's soul and subconscious. I totally agree with French poet Charles Baudelaire, who greeted Poe as the writer who has made major discoveries about human heart and had explored possibilities of art for its expression. In fact, in almost every analysis of Poe's work and try to understand one of most complicated of human rights - mind and heart, too. His works show that he is really interested in mysterious and confusing aspects of human consciousness. That is what fascinates him. I think Poe is interested in exploring world of dreams and nightmares. All that is within soul itself - emotions, sufferings, dreams and feelings - love Poe. In fact, as they say: "For characters of Poe, body is the simple machine: is effectively separated from consciousness that lives inside, but aspires to live beyond body main emphasis on Poe's characters' lives, and I believe it was also in his life, he puts on emotions. Body is not important, all that matters is heart and reason. In reading works of this writer we can see the division between inner and outer world. And therefore, this division produces sharp conflicts and feelings that give tragic poem or story, but in mood while playing is one of romantic features factory. Other feature of works of Poe is presence of death. Sometimes it seems like everything is dead in works by this author. This effect is created by gray and dismal chambers, where heroes of Poe, especially in vivo, atmosphere surrounding main characters as well as due to thoughts and feelings of each hero. Poe's characters, especially do not think about future, living "in” fragments "of past." They are concentrated in these "fragments" with lots of energy and therefore the step out of reality, in fact, are "dead" to world, are feeling and machines .... But as typical of Poe's heroines usually are infected with the mysterious illness and "visibly consumed before lovers eyes." "[Chap. R. This reason for death of Poe lets you search depths of human inner world. I think that is one reason why death is predominant theme in works of Poe, because if one person lives in constant fear of death, like Poe's characters, he changes completely - I referring to their perception of world ...
