ABSTRACT

The research explores the concept of corporate governance and explains various aspects of corporate governance. It also explains the importance of corporate governance in today's organizations and who the quality of corporate governance can affect the stakeholders. The researcher has adopted the qualitative methodology, through which the researchers has analyses the research findings and discussed the corporate governance of Tesco Plc. Moreover, by understanding and analyzing the corporate governance of Tesco Plc, the researchers has developed some recommendations through which organizations can effectively implement and carry out corporate governance activities.

Research Background

The significance of corporate governance is in its contribution towards both the accountability and prosperity of the business. In United Kingdom, accountability has acquired much of people's attention over the past few decades. The main concept behind corporate governance is, it run the companies in order to produce best possible outcomes. Majority of the focus of corporate governance is on maintaining transparency, establishing formal external relationship and stressing on trustworthy, legal and timely information.

It has been observed that companies having better corporate governance are among the most valued than those having a less refined system. Researches also suggests that companies having good corporate governance are less likely to be facing surviving situations and are less likely are supposed to work on planning recovery strategies.
