The Old Covenant

Introduction

The Bible refers to several covenants.

The covenant with Adam (Hosea 6:7)

The covenant with Noah (Genesis 9:9)

The covenant with Abram (Genesis 15:18)

The covenant of circumcision (Acts 7:8)

The covenant of day and night (Jeremiah 33:20)

The covenant with David (Jeremiah 33:21) and so on,

However, when the Scriptures speak covenant, and the old covenant, is a comparison between Christianity and Judaism. These two approaches to God are so different that they cannot be combined. Trying to do so would be like putting fresh wine in old bottles or patch an old garment modern cloth (Matthew 9:16-17).
