The Latin American Culture is an expression used to define the cultural values of the people of Latin America. The term Latin American culture encompass all the Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries present in the American continents. Maya, Olmec Toltec and Aztec are the ancient civilizations that make up the northern part of the culture in Central America. With time as these civilizations advanced they present the Latin American culture with richness and attract the researches for fascinating studies. The rich culture extends to other countries including El Salvador Belize, Mexico, Guatemala, Venezuela, Colombia, Honduras, Caribbean Islands, and the Costa Rica (Goodwin, 2011).
The southern part of the Latin American culture encompass majority of the South America. Inca, Nasca, Tiwanaku and Moche are ancient civilizations making up the cultural norms. There is also rising interest to the associations between the Caribbean and Latin America all together. Racial Disparities
Racial Disparity is the main issue threatening the rich Latin American Culture. Ever since the beginning Latin America has been the target of greatest cultural disparity. Latin America as a cultural norm displays high measure of racial discrimination and inequality against indigenous and Afro Latinos populations. In spite of the statutory measures and constitutional reforms racial discrimination serves as the most dominating and depressing factor. It is the major region of disruption in the social, economical and political situation in the Latin American culture. Multi cultural citizenship reforms were implemented in the Latin American states to ensure the access of equal rights to the indigenous groups, however for Afro Latinos the reforms did not made a significant difference.
