Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present a research proposal for that study that aims to enlighten the importance of reading comprehension in 8th grade students. In addition, the proposed study explores the impact of reading comprehension on students' grade achievement in 8th standard. The proposed study and its expected outcomes are restricted to 8th standard in order to extract valid results by refining the target population for sample extraction. Reading comprehension possesses substantial importance in context of grade achievement. A student unable to comprehend a word that was just read is less likely to achieve higher grades after examination. There are diverse study variables that are incorporated in the proposed study whose findings will facilitate the process of highlighting the influence of reading comprehension on grade achievement. Propose study is classified as quantitative as the data collection tool used in this study is report card collected from the sample size. Moreover, the data in this study is analyzed by taking into account the figures illustrated in the academic performance report card extracted through the study sample. Hence, the study is classified as quantitative. Nonetheless, the data extracted through the sample size would be analyzed via the application of correlation which is an optimal statistical test used for measuring the impact of independent variable over the dependent.

CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
There are different factors depicting substantial influence on grade achievement of students. These factors significantly impact the core ingredients required for the achievement of higher grades. Reading comprehension is one of the factors that have utmost importance in context of grade achievement. The objective of this study is to analyze and highlight the impact of reading comprehension on grade achievement of students studying in 8th grade. The fluency in reading represents the frequency to which the readers accurately recognize individual words within connected text.
Fluency in reading assists reading comprehension and is currently an area of interest among researchers that want to explore the influence of reading comprehension on students' grade achievement. Reading comprehension is facilitated through different factors such as understanding, fluency, word recognition etc. There are certain syndromes that hinder student's ability to read and comprehend. These syndromes have substantial influence on student grade achievement process and cause significant threat to students' academic and professional career. There is a close relationship between language fluency and reading comprehension. There are several theories and conceptions that have been explored in the context of reading comprehension.
