The Haunting Of Hill House

Introduction

After reading one of the most famous novels, Shirley Jackson, Haunting of Hill House, I was stunned by her powerful use of the paranormal and how it is to study the history of each attribute with its unique way of writing and its distinctive morph to mind. Although, when used to its style of writing, I became very intrigued with the book and many of the themes she used throughout the novel.

Discussion

In Jackson's novel, the strange theme of Gothic architecture was a reference to numerous accounts. Jackson uses the strange angles and the location of Hill House, to depict the peculiar, twisted, and extremely concerned about the mind of the protagonist of the novel Eleanor Vance. Together with its unique use of Gothic architecture, Jackson often refers to the role of fantasy that everyone experiences in nature. Obviously, in almost every chapter that Jackson uses fantasy to illustrate and detailed information about the major events that occur in the Phantoms at home on the hill. Jackson also illustrates the importance of schizophrenia in a novel. Throughout the book, schizophrenia is considered a main character Eleanor Vance. Violations presented by Eleanor schizophrenia seem to correspond to the strange events that occur in the novel (Nazare, 3). He often comes to the question of whether or not the events that occur in the Hill House are made on the broken mind of Eleanor, or if they are due to paranormal activity, which are in a difficult environment, Hill House. Reading the Haunting of Hill House, which makes it a priority to indicate the importance of women and mothers, it is obvious throughout her novel. With two of the key characters to be female, the role of women was sure to be central to the book of Jackson. Along with the two women starring Jackson and other central female character is Hill House itself. So the house stands as a "mother figure" to characters themselves clearly visible in the novel (Shirley, 28). The last and one of the most important themes of this book is relevant to scientific experiment in which this novel revolves. The whole story is presented in this novel centers on an experiment to find out that Hill House really has in store.

In the conclusion of the book, you are shown the death of Eleanor. Icame to the realization that a very alike death was recounted before in the book. Eighteen years before, a man left Hill dwelling in darkness and his horse bolted into a tree at a turn in the propel, instantly murdering him.

It was very significant that both of these events happened in the book. The man's death assisted as foreshadowing in my opinion. After reading about both of the killings, I started to believe that there should be some way that they were attached with the house. It became very apparent that Eleanor was going insane in her last couple of day. I felt like it was meant to show that the house ...
