The Gettysburg Address is one of the most commemorated speeches ever written. The scribe of this article was the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. President Lincoln composed this talk for two reasons. First, the talk was in writing to consecrate the cemetery at Gettysburg. Second, and most significant, Lincoln's phrases were intended to start the rebuilding of his conflict tattered country.
