The Fury of Overshoes

The Fury of Overshoes is a unique poem as you can probably tell by its title. An overshoe is like a boot, and the speaker is talking about how much they miss their childhood. They remember in kindergarten when all their overshoes sat in a row outside of the classroom. My favorite line in the poem is, Oh thumb, I want a drink because it just makes you think of a little kid sucking their thumb, whereas this is an adult thinking about wanting to suck his or her thumb.
