Introduction

Napoleon is a master of warfare. The tactics used by the legend are popularly known as napoleon tactics and comprise of all the techniques and decisions that the man made and were used in the field during the 18th century. He is one and only and his predecessors and followers have nothing on him (Hunt, p. 242). However, it is also true that Napoleon both continued and broke from the aims of his revolutionary predecessors.
