This book is Stephen B. Oates describes the sad and tragic story about a man named Nate Turner, who was born in slavery and his struggle for freedom. Ironically, his desire to do anything, even kill to get their freedom leads to their death. The title of this book, "Fire Anniversary", the reader can truly grasp the concept that there are problems, chaos, and chaos brewing in the month of August.
Nate Turner is the most famous and most controversial slave rebel in American history. He lived in the season of innocent life, in those carefree years before working age twelve, when a slave boy could romp and run around plantations with uninhibited glee. Nate in his younger years, cavorted around the house, as did the slave children in general in Virginia. He was the first Turner lived in the house, which belongs to a modest plantationin remote Neighborhood "down county" (Oates 21) from Jerusalem. Samuel worked his slaves hard and is used by Christians to scare the slaves in obedience.
Despite attempts to use Christianity as justification, many owners of American slaves at that time was somewhat uneasy about the whole situation of a slave.
