Fearsome Particle is an excellent book, and it describes a story of three family members, each facing their own separate problems. The story is also very funny and gives an overall an excellent reading.

The author has Geral Woodlore as the father in the novel. He tries to control all aspects of his life. He is a very cautious man, but not a wise person. It is the most defining part of the character, although this attribute creates enormous problems for him.

Gerald is a person, who finds it difficult to deal with calamities. Hence, the arrival of his son opens a new chapter and creates problems for him. He is working for window-screen manufacturer as an Executive. The market share of the company is slowing down with time.

Vicki, the other character of the book are struggling with his own, by developing empty homes in order to make it appealing for the target audience, by pretending that it is filled with families.

The company he works for is rapidly losing market share, and for much of this problem, Gerald blames himself for the action he takes. Her wife Vicki a successful “stager” of luxury real estate tries to construct and maintain the image of true happiness (Cole, 2010).

The story begins with the son Kyle's mysterious rapid return; though it is clear something has been amiss since his departure. His anxious father Gerald (a business exec for a failing window screen and air-filter company) starts the novel dithering about his wife Vicki's strange emotional, withdrawal and lack of curiosity as to the reason of Kyle's return, as well as the continuing failure of the company for which he works.
