According to the Census of 2010, 9 out of 10 people (ninety-one per cent) in private house-holds in United Kingdom stated a good and fairly good health. Age-standardized of good and fairly good health were parallel for men and women. Children under sixteen years of age represented better health, with ninety-nine per-cent having a good and fairly good health. For those aged above sixteen, age definite rates of good and fairly good health decreases with the age. The less healthy population was of people aged seventy five and over, seventy two per-cents said they were in good and fairly good health.

There are significant differences in health status reported by the National Classification of socio-economic statistics (NS-SEC), as measured by the profession. Among those in employment, people in regular jobs were the worst self-rated health in 2010. (Lawlor, 2010)
