There is no exact extent of time engaged in recognising one's Divine Nature. The route is progressively self-revealing and self-rewarding. It needs no long period firm promises, as larger and larger flexibility and likelihood disclose themselves at every stage. (Slapper & Kelly 2009) The more powerful the will to develop and overwhelm the impediments to Realization, the more rapidly the responses disclose themselves. It is that simple.
