The Confusions of Young Torless

Introduction

The story of Young Torless that starts with one of the best quotes eventually turns into the bad deeds done by a group of young military school boys. These boys live in a clandestine isolated military school, and eventually Torless enters in to the new world beyond the boundaries of the school. Torless along with his friends perform adults act but with the same sex. Here, all t he boys knowingly did this act just to drift away from the torture of the school they live and study in into the world of their own where they all shared a secret.

Synopsis of the Author

Musil first book 'The confusions of young Torless' were very much successful immediately after its publication. He left his studies as he was a student of logic, engineering, and investigation psychology and focused on writing. In World War I, he was an officer in the Austrian army. Muslin lived in Berlin, and when until the Nazis came to rule, he at last settled in Geneva.
