ABSTRACT
In this study, the subject chosen for research is the subject of tourism and the case study taken was Miami. He went to Florida himself to conduct the research. The world famous South Beach is the home of wonderful shopping, fine restaurants, clubs fashion and scenes of many films and television series. Walk along the Ocean Drive and sample all kinds kitchen you can imagine. Look closely at the Art Deco architecture walking in their neighborhoods. Visit the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a Renaissance-style villa built in 1916. Bayside Market Place offers entertainment outdoor and unique shops. This research has been done extensively. Through this research five basic objectives were achieved which are mentioned in aims and objectives section. The method used in this research is mixed methodology. The results have been discussed in depth. In this research, the basic motivations for travel, the tourism typologies and other forms of tourism are discussed in depth. In this research, it was found out that people mostly go to Florida and Miami for recreational purpose and they consider Miami as an ideal tourist destination. One of the major attractions for tourists in Florida is Walt Disney in Orlando.
INTRODUCTION
Background
The action of traveling had its beginning from prehistoric times when man moved in search of food, better weather and to avoid hazards in order survive. Over time, people have become sedentary and motivation for travel was to trade through the exchange of goods. Florida is also referred as the Sunshine State and is distinguished because of its beauty, refreshing climate and is the considered as the best place for rest, rejuvenation and retirement. (MacReady 2007:369)
It is recognized as the second largest orange producer in the world and the number one place for the growth of grapefruits. Florida is a destination that provides numerous types of tourism such as Theme Park Tourism, Eco Tourism, Conference Tourism, Medical Tourism, Educational Tourism, Shopping Tourism, Yachting Tourism, Boat Tourism, Golf Tourism, Business Tourism, Cultural Tourism, Heritage Tourism, Food Tourism and Cruise Tourism. A magnetic “pulling power” on individuals to attractions has been in existence since ancient times. The contribution of this magnetism has been the tourist's curiosity and desires and also the attraction's layout, evolution and operation.
