Terrorism

Introduction

The term terrorism can be extenuated in number of ways because there is no particular legal definition to describe it. However, it can be defined as the use of violence or threats to inculcate fear with the intention of pursuing personal goals (Deen, 2005). Terrorism is basically an evil which is growing problem in the uncertain world. It has been the unremitting issue in numerous countries over the past fifty years. The new form of terrorism has come in front with the 9/11 attacks which merely shocked the entire world. The United States defines the terrorism as the deliberate or planned, politically aggravated violence carries out against the non combatant public which causes them to pay the cost for their lives and sometimes with serious physical or emotional wounds.

The terrorism is the act which intends to instill the fear which is primarily perpetrated to attain the goals pertinent to religious, political and ideological that deliberately disregards the safety of innocent non combatants or civilians (Jeffrey, 2003). However, the terrorism has radically increased in the United States since the last decade with the mass threats of violence which causes thousands of people to loss their lives every year due to these violent acts in United States (National Center for Victims of Crime, 2010).

Secondly, the domestic terrorism is differentiated from the international terrorism and other delinquent activities with the aim of affecting the government through mass destruction (US Congress, 2005). The United States has increasingly been encountered through the numerous cases of domestic terrorism and caused around 300 million of people in 2006.
