The argument of why parents of teenage mothers tend to be teenage mothers themselves significantly related to the issue of teenage pregnancies prevailing in the society. Technically a teenage mother is a girl who has given birth to a child before her 20th birthday. Most of the teen girls have a perception that a baby might improve their lives; therefore, they become teenage mothers. Girls who are as young as 13 years are taking choices of their career, and making decisions that parenting is much better option that ending up in dead-end jobs. The parents of teenage mothers found to be teenage mother themselves in most of the cases. As they once went through the same conditions, as their daughter is going through by becoming a teenage mother.

The reason behind choosing this topic is to analyze the reasons and causes behind the teenage mothers that has become quite popular issues these days in United States. The reasons are analyzed so that the disadvantages of teenage pregnancy can be highlighted. Lives of a teenage mother as well as the family situations are to be analyzed in the study so that we may be able to explore its effects on the child's development.

Teenage girls in today's society neglect the importance of safe sex because of which they end up becoming teenage mothers, and mostly they belong to a family where their parents were teenage mothers too.
