Introduction

Although being part of a team is an experience increasingly prevalent, we all live this, experience team work and integration within a team in a different way. Each team member has personal expectations and preconceived notions about teamwork, based on apprenticeships, experiences and expectations of previous profession.

Nursing is about relationships between people. The quality of these relationships is crucial to the daily interactions, and positive outcomes of care offered to the patient and the satisfaction of the profession. The behavior of nurses is social, whether part of a team working is regular or virtual. The importance of effective teamwork in relation to quality health care is increasingly demonstrated; it is necessary to examine the concepts applicable to the teamwork, and the roles of work to create healthy workplaces for nurses, to provide quality care to patients and obtain tangible results. Skills in teamwork means having a good knowledge of the principles of teamwork and collaboration, so that they can easily apply this knowledge in various practice settings that are constantly changing. As a nurse, we can all destroy or improve the environment in which we work.

Discussion

Keeping in view the case study, efforts to improve the transmission of information are limited because they do not account of how the patterns of communication and support determine how which a team defines itself. In a team, effective communication can create a "centripetal force" (Eisenberg, EM, 2008) which brings together team members by promoting a common understanding of the contextual situation and deepening the capacity of each member to act taking into account the views of other.
