Store and forward switching

In the method of store-and-forward switching, the switch of LAN copiers the intact frame into its buffer of on board, while it computes the cyclic redundancy check also known as the CRC. Than if the frame contains a CRC error it is discarded. In case there is no error inside the frame, than the LAN switch searches and looks up for the destination and addresses in its forwarding process, or the process of switching, it tabulates and determines the outgoing interface. After, this process it forwards the frame towards its final destination.
