Chapter 4: Data analysis and discussion
Introduction
Chapter four analyzes the data that has been collected by the respondents for this dissertation. The data analysis and interpretation chapter includes the analysis of questionnaire. Questionnaire includes multiple questions reflecting different independent variables and dependent variable. These questions were categorized into nine categories. These categories are; demographics sections (includes the demographic information of a supervisor and supervisee), working alliance in supervision, supervisee satisfaction, cultural variables, role of ambiguity and role of conflicts, multicultural counseling inventory, multicultural social desirability, acculturative stress, and self-efficacy beliefs. In the part of working alliance in supervision, 36 questions were designed on a likert scale of 1 to 7 which indicates a range from “never” to “always”. In the part of supervisee satisfaction, 42 questions were designed on a liket scale of 1 to 5 which indicates a range from “matters hardly at all” to “necessary for good supervision”. In the part of role of ambiguity and role of conflicts, 29 questions were designed on a likert scale of 1 to 5 which ranges from “not at all” to “all the time”. In the multicultural counseling inventory, 32 questions were designed on a likert scale of 1 to scale which ranges from “not at all true” to “totally true”. In acculturative stress, 36 questions were designed on a likert scale of 1 to 5 ranges from “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree”. In demographics section, demographic variables were taken into account such as gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, living country, international student status, etc. The data that was collected from the respondents was analytically analyzed by using the statistical techniques; descriptive statistics and relational statistics. Descriptive statistics was incorporated in the analysis for evaluating the demographic information of the respondents. Moreover, relational statistics was used because for testing the three hypotheses that measure the impact of a variable over the other variable and also analyzes that whether the mean differences are equal across the variables or the means are not equal. It can be tested and interpreted by using multiple regression technique. Following is the interpretation of the collected information:

The above table shows time period of the supervisory relationship that is the time relationship between a supervisor and a supervisee. The least time period was of 2 months and the maximum time period was of 96 years. The time period of 1 year has the highest frequency which showed that 60 respondents answered for 1 year relationship with the supervisor.
