Introduction
The research paper explains the concept and link of low self esteem with the depression symptoms in adolescents. The self perception of children and their depressive symptoms differ from male to female. The research is psychological based that what impact a children with low self esteem that is they have no confidence, they cannot express their feeling or they cannot fight for their right. These problems associated with the children lead them towards the depression symptoms. That means I future they could have depression problem. They study of psychology relates the human behavior and how it constructed. They research has taken sample students from grade 3 to 6. The sample size was 140 out of which boys were 54%, and girls were 46%. They method was to collect the inventory of children depression and what were their self perception (Abela, Taylor, 2003). The target was to intervene anxious and depressive symptoms. The research can also be connected through the cognitive development of adolescents. Piaget identified three principle stages of cognitive development. He termed the first stage the pre-operational stage. Most children between the ages of 2 and 7 functioned at this level of cognitive development. During the pre-operational stage children perceive actions and events in absolute terms, and do not or cannot understand these actions in relative terms. That is they cannot understand the situations or perspectives of others. Thus, this stage is often the ego-centric stage, since children perceive others' actions to revolve around themselves.
