Introduction

The developers of social theory are Salvador Minuchin and his colleagues. The theory was developed in 1960s due to rising interest in systematic analyses and evaluation of human relations and distress, and analyzing those natural systems which result in distress. The family functioning model is the basis of structural family therapy. The model is being heavily in providing therapy to families and children.
